Dear WECAN Members,
It is with great sadness that I inform you that WECAN is saying goodbye to our program manager, Joshua Topliffe. Joshua has been with WECAN since 2010. He started as an enthusiastic member, then volunteer, and Joshua’s passion for food security and WECAN led to him taking on the essential role of program manager. Joshua has built relationships with many of you, has provided support to the depots, and has worked through the years to ensure that good quality meat and produce baskets are available for members to order every month.
WECAN would not be where it is today without the work Joshua has done to ensure its stability and growth. We wish Joshua every good fortune in all his future endeavors- we know that he will be an asset to any organization or cause he contributes to. Joshua’s last day is September 27.
On Saturday, September 21 a couple of board members will host a table at the YEG Empowering You event at the Jerry Forbes Center to connect with more community members about the benefits that a WECAN membership can bring to them. Check out our social media pages on Facebook and Instagram for more details!
Sincerely,
Jennifer Scherer
